Big rig overturns in Macon County injuring two

In an incident early Tuesday morning, a 2022 Freightliner overturned on Route KK, approximately 3 miles west of Redman, Missouri, resulting in injuries to two men. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 9:52 a.m.

The driver of the Freightliner, identified as Ricky J. Anders, 54, from Hurdland, Missouri, suffered minor injuries in the accident. Joseph A. Desonia, a 28-year-old man from Novinger, Missouri, who was an occupant in the vehicle, also sustained minor injuries. Both individuals were not using seat belts at the time of the crash and were transported by Macon County Ambulance to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and overturned.

The incident prompted a response from the Macon County Rural Fire Department and Macon County Rescue Squad, alongside assistance from Corporal Borgmeyer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The heavily damaged Freightliner was towed from the scene by Still Towing
