A preliminary hearing was held on Monday for a Unionville man, Ralph Saavedra, who faces three felony counts of statutory sodomy or attempt involving alleged deviate sexual intercourse. He also faces four felony counts of child molestation in the second degree.

A probable cause statement from Unionville’s Police Chief says the two victims are girls ages seven and eight. (Less than 12 years old as described in the charges).

Putnam County Associate Judge Samuel Franks ruled there’s probable cause to believe a felony crime has been committed and that the defendant was involved.

Thirty-three-year-old Saavedra was bound over to appear December 16th at 2 pm in Division One of Putnam County Circuit Court.
