Pickup overturns on Highway U near Lancaster injuring driver

A 20-year-old man was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Highway U, approximately one mile south of Lancaster, Missouri, on Thursday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at around 6:41 p.m.

Bronson L. Shaw of Lancaster, Missouri, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet 1500 northbound when his vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Shaw sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Shaw was transported to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, by the MU Life Team for treatment.

The vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing.

The accident prompted responses from multiple agencies, including the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department, Schuyler County Ambulance District, and Lancaster Fire Department.
