A pedestrian walking on a road in Ray County was hurt when she was hit by an unknown vehicle.
Forty-year-old Christina Mayer of Lawson was taken to Liberty Hospital with moderate injuries.
The accident happened late Saturday night on Route U northeast of Excelsior Springs as Mayer was walking west on the eastbound lane when she was struck by an unknown eastbound vehicle.
The patrol reported the vehicle left the scene without stopping.
