(Missourinet) – Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe has returned from a trip to the U.S.–Mexico border to visit Missouri National Guard members and state troopers conducting border security operations. He emphasizes the border needs to be “locked down.”

“I think everybody wants to get border security done,” says Kehoe. “There are some nuances to what President Biden says is needed versus what Congress believes he can just have the authority to do. No matter who gets it done, I hope the Biden administration would do that.”

Former President Donald Trump reportedly derailed Congress’ bipartisan immigration package so that he could use illegal immigration against President Joe Biden in this year’s election.
