Lenzie Luther Holt, age 54, a Kansas City, Missouri resident, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Lenzie, the youngest of six children, was born to Gene and Virginia Holt on September 24, 1969, in Los Angeles, California.
Lenzie was a hardworking man who loved to enjoy life. He cherished his freedom when riding his motorcycle, fishing, and watching Westerns. He retired after working for the Ford Motor Plant in Kansas City for over 20 years. Lenzie loved spending time with his kids and family.
Lenzie is survived by his two children, Rachel and Glen. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbra, Diana, Alice, Teresa, Patricia, Ann, Jimmy, Paul, and John, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Gene, and his brothers, Glen and Donald.
He was immensely proud of his two children, Rachel and Glen, who are currently attending college to pursue careers in the healthcare field. Lenzie Luther Holt’s story is one full of humor, hard work, overcoming challenges, and, most of all, a heart full of love. His timely sense of humor was appreciated by his family and friends alike. Lenzie will be deeply missed, but the memories and love we each share for him will continue to live for many generations.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for his children and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
