Head-on crash, on Route N near Maryville, results in injuries to two

In an event that unfolded on Route N, approximately 10 miles southeast of Maryville, Missouri, a collision between a 2020 Honda Odyssey and a 1998 Dodge 2500 resulted in minor injuries to two individuals. The accident, which occurred at 12:08 p.m. on March 23, 2024, involved Becky M. Swinford, 38, of Barnard, Missouri, and Raymond A. Morriss, 66, of Guilford, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the southbound Honda Odyssey, driven by Swinford, veered across the centerline, colliding head-on with the northbound Dodge 2500 operated by Morriss. The impact forced both vehicles off the west side of Route N, where they came to rest on their wheels.

Becky Swinford and a 14-year-old female passenger from Barnard, Missouri, both wearing seat belts, sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Mosaic Maryville by private vehicles for treatment. Morriss, also wearing a seat belt, escaped injury.

The Honda Odyssey was towed by Kaiser’s Towing, while the Dodge 2500 remained at the scene to be towed later.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol received assistance from the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department.
