The Trenton High School Key Club and Future Business Leaders of America chapter are partnering with the March of Dimes to recognize efforts to reduce the number of premature births.

Going Purple for Preemies” will be held Tuesday night when those attending Trenton High School basketball games are encouraged to wear purple. In addition, Key Club and FBLA members will be selling purple tie-dyed spirit bandanas for $5.00 each. All proceeds will benefit March of Dimes in its effort to support families with premature babies.

November is prematurity awareness month when the March of Dimes focuses the nation’s attention on premature births.

Although there’s been a steady decline in recent years in the united states, March of Dimes says about 380,000 babies are born prematurely each year.
