Gallatin Board of Education to address salary, facilities in upcoming session

The Gallatin R-5 Board of Education is scheduled to convene on April 16 at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The meeting will focus on revisions to both the certified and classified salary schedules.

Key topics under old business to be addressed include the certification of the April 2 election results, administration of the oath of office, and the reorganization of the board. Additionally, the selection of a delegate to the Missouri School Boards Association and a related presentation are on the agenda.

New business items to be considered include a bus lease-purchase agreement, a comprehensive facilities plan, and cooperative participation proposals. Also slated for discussion are the replacement of air conditioning units in the agricultural building and the high school cafeteria, alongside updates to policies and procedures.

Furthermore, an executive session is planned to review personnel matters. This session will cover evaluations of directors and classified staff, as well as discussions on extra-duty contracts and student-related issues.
