Five Trenton residents to appear in Grundy County Court

Five defendants, who waived preliminary hearings on Tuesday, are scheduled to appear Thursday in Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court.

Christina Carol Davis faces charges of sexual misconduct allegedly involving a child younger than 15. Samantha Ratkovich is accused of stealing a motor vehicle. Garrett Marshal Runnels is charged with third-degree domestic assault. Richard Tunnell has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Dakota Wendt faces a felony count of driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender and a misdemeanor count of driving on a revoked or suspended license. All five defendants reside in Trenton.

In other cases heard on Tuesday in the associate division of the circuit court, a resident of Simi Valley, California – Russell Allen McNees – pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor careless and imprudent driving. The incident occurred on August 5th on Highway 6 at Trenton. McNees was sentenced to two years of supervised probation. The court ordered a total payment of $687 for a fine, a recoupment fee, a donation to the law enforcement restitution fund, and court costs.
