Chillicothe Police Wednesday morning responded to an injury accident that involved a vehicle striking a building in the 800 block of First Street.
A police report indicates a vehicle driven by Connie Sowder was attempting to park in front of the business and her foot apparently slipped off the brake onto the gas pedal. Officers said the vehicle jumped the curb and struck the business causing extensive damage to the vehicle and moderate damage to the building.
Police said Ms. Sowder was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. There were no injuries reported from inside the building. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
