The Chillicothe Police Department shared a detailed account of their officers’ activities for Tuesday, April 2nd.
Throughout the day, the Chillicothe Police Department also conducted traffic stops, performed business checks, and responded to a total of 87 calls for service.
At 01:58 a.m., officers spotted a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of S Washington St. The vehicle, found to be unoccupied, was thoroughly checked by the officers to ensure it was not stolen, securing the area’s safety.
At 11:41 a.m., a report of suspicious activity came from a concerned citizen in the 1500 block of Maple St. The individual noticed three males wearing hoodies and using flashlights. Officers reassured the citizen, promising increased patrols in the vicinity.
A call regarding a broken-down vehicle at the intersection of US 65 and Hwy 190 was responded to at 12:35 p.m. Officers assisted the driver, who had already arranged for help.
The department took action at 01:36 p.m. in the 700 block of Webster St., where a female with an active warrant from Livingston County was apprehended. The woman, who had driven there on a revoked license, was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center and cited for driving while revoked.
Officers were dispatched at 03:25 p.m. to a private property accident in the 2800 block of Hornet Rd., advising the involved parties to exchange necessary information.
A scam alert was reported to the police at 04:20 p.m. by a citizen. The police department offered guidance to avoid engagement with such fraudulent calls.
An important step was taken at 05:08 p.m., as officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Clay St., related to a child abuse investigation. Evidence was seized, and the investigation continues to be active.
Lastly, at 11:06 p.m., officers investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 900 block of Dickinson St., where an individual was reportedly seen between two buildings with a spotlight. No one was found upon the officers’ arrival.
