The Chillicothe Police Department was active throughout Thursday, March 21st, 2024, responding to a variety of incidents that ranged from public service assistance to serious criminal investigations.
In addition to these incidents, the Chillicothe Police Department also conducted traffic stops, and business checks, served legal papers, and continued with numerous ongoing investigations. In total, the department received 108 calls for service on March 21st, 2024.
12:22 AM: Officers conducted a routine patrol and discovered an unsecured structure in the 500 block of BUS. 36. The property owner was promptly notified, and the premises were secured, ensuring no unauthorized entry had occurred.
12:45 AM: A car alarm led officers to the 500 block of Washington, where a vehicle was found with its alarm sounding. After a thorough check, no signs of tampering were detected, and the vehicle owner was informed about the situation.
03:33 AM: A report of a careless and imprudent driver heading westbound on US 36 was received. However, officers were out of position to effectively intercept the vehicle.
07:29 AM: The department responded to threats reported in the 2800 block of Hornet Drive, resulting in the arrest of an adult female for terroristic threats. She was taken into custody pending formal charges.
08:08 AM: In another part of Chillicothe, officers took a statement in the 1200 block of Bryan regarding a violation of a protection order. Charges are set to be submitted for the respondent.
09:14 AM: A citizen’s report of being targeted by a scam was received by the Law Enforcement Center (LEC). The individual was advised on precautionary measures to avoid falling victim to such scams.
11:50 AM: Officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office near HWY V and Polk after a suspect vehicle was stopped.
12:52 PM: A unique report of an individual allegedly hitting a vehicle with their head in the area of Bryan and Walnut was investigated, though officers were unable to locate any such incident.
03:39 PM: The welfare of a potentially suicidal individual in the 10 block of 3rd Street was checked, with officers finding the subject to be safe.
03:59 PM: A disturbance in the 400 block of Jackson Street was addressed, with officers noting that one party had already left the scene to defuse the situation.
04:20 PM: A statutory rape case led detectives to interview a suspect, culminating in an arrest. The suspect was transported to CCDC, pending formal charges.
05:22 PM: City officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) during a search warrant execution in the 1500 block of Calhoun, where stolen property was discovered, solving a previous theft case.
11:39 PM: Officers investigated a report of threats in the 1000 block of Washington but found no evidence or information to substantiate the claims.
