13-year-old girl hospitalized after 4-wheeler overturns, later airlifted to St. Louis

In an incident occurring in Hunnewell, Missouri, a 13-year-old girl sustained serious injuries following a 4-wheeler accident. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident took place on private property located at 206 West Beech Street on March 20, 2024, at around 6:30 p.m.

According to the official report, the teenager, a resident of Hunnewell, was driving an 80’s model 4-wheeler when she turned too sharply, causing the vehicle to overturn. The young driver was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the accident.

Following the crash, the injured girl was initially transported by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional Hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was subsequently life-flighted by Survival Flight to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis for specialized care.
