Big rig overturns in Andrew County, injuries reported

In a single-vehicle accident that occurred on March 2, 2024, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a 2000 Peterbilt tractor operated by Frederick A. Cullen, 65, of Ottawa, Kansas, overturned on Highway DD, just north of Country Club, in Andrew County, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the big rig was traveling north when it veered off the east side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and came to a halt on its passenger side off the east side of the road.

Frederick A. Cullen, the driver, sustained minor injuries in the crash but refused medical treatment at the scene. The report highlighted that Cullen was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The damaged tractor was towed from the scene by All Star Towing.

The incident prompted a response from several law enforcement agencies, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, led by Trooper J.M. Harrison, assisted by Sergeant R.P. Dudeck, Commercial Vehicle Officer R.E. Powell, the Andrew County Sheriff’s Office, and the Country Club Police Department.
