The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a workshop on waterfowl hunting and duck decoy carving in Kirksville next month.

Anyone at least 12 years old can attend and learn about duck identification, ecology, and decoy history at the Northeast Regional Office the nights of November 5th and 6th from 5:30 to 8:30. Participants will be able to sculpt and paint their own decoy for use in waterfowl hunting or as art.

MDC encourages participants to wear clothes they do not mind getting dirty or getting paint on. Anyone younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Space is limited, and preregistration is required by November 1st by contacting MDC Outdoor Skills Specialist Rob Garver at 660-785-2420.
