A Cowgill man was hurt Saturday night east of Polo when the pickup truck he was driving went off a country road and overturned.
The Patrol reports 38-year-old Anthony Vansel was transported to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries after the accident three miles east of Polo on East Soo Line Drive. The westbound pickup traveled off the left side of the road, hit an embankment, went through a fence, and overturned once coming to rest on its wheels in a pasture demolishing the pickup.
The patrol accused Vansel of careless and imprudent driving, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle owned by another without insurance.
Vansel was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
