Congressman Sam Graves announced that he has secured $3,307,000 for the Harrison County Public Water Supply District (PWSD) #2 in the appropriations bill signed into law earlier this month.

“It’s critical that our rural counties have access to water,” Rep. Sam Graves stated. “Harrison County PWSD #2 is increasing the number of customers they serve and is in desperate need of additional water sources. I’m thrilled to secure this much-needed funding to provide Northwest Missouri with clean, safe drinking water.”

Harrison County PWSD #2 plans to use the funding to drill two new water supply wells and add ten miles of transmission lines. This expansion will supply additional water to six towns, two counties, and three water supply districts.
