Two women were arrested by police Saturday as a result of alleged altercations in Trenton that authorities say injured two other individuals.

Three felony counts were filed against both 29-year-old Kelly Jean McClure of Trenton and 29-year-old Colby Marie Jackson of Wheeling. The charges were filed Sunday by new Grundy County Prosecuting Attorney Kelly Puckett.

Both women are facing two counts of assault in the third degree causing serious physical injury and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. Bonds for each are $15,000 cash and they are to appear Wednesday, February 13th in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.

Documents filed in court accuse both Kelly McClure and Colby Jackson in concert with each other by the alleged use of fists to strike the face of a disabled person. The report indicates the victim sustained lacerations to her lips and mouth plus swelling under the left eye. Both women also are accused of using fists to strike an elderly person allegedly causing bleeding from the nose.  In the third count, both defendants are accused of creating a substantial risk to the body and health of a child under the age of 17 by repeatedly and forcibly pulling that youth from the temporary guardian.

Names of the victims were not released and in addition to police officers, documents list witnesses as emergency responders and employees of Wright Memorial Hospital.
