Parts of Trenton were affected early this morning when Trenton Municipal Utilities had an electrical outage.

According to TMU Director Chad Davis, the outage was caused when an underground line faulted.

Davis said the crew had a tough time finding the fault so it actually created a couple of outages as they tried to track it down. Repairs began around 2:30 this morning and took a couple of hours to complete.

Davis said the outage affected less than 200 customers generally between the power plant substation on West Crowder and Harris Avenue at ConAgra’s plant plus some north and south of that general line of Trenton.
