Trenton and Grundy County Rural Firefighters were dispatched to 509 West 20th street in Trenton Saturday. A fire extinguisher was used to put out the fire in the basement of the residence. A Trenton Fire Department spokesman reported wiring had burned at the residence and that the fire had been extinguished upon their arrival.
