A teenager from Plattsburg was injured yesterday afternoon in a single vehicle accident three miles to the north of Osborn.
The highway patrol reports 19-year-old Kolby Sandgren sustained moderate injuries and was taken by an ambulance to the Cameron Regional Medical Center.
The patrol reported Sandgren was northbound on Highway 33 when he swerved the car he was driving to avoid another vehicle that had stopped and was attempting to make a left turn. During his action, Sandgren’s car went off the east side of the road and struck a tree. Vehicle damage was extensive.
The report noted Kolbey Sandgren was not using a seatbelt at the time of the 3:05 Monday afternoon accident in southern DeKalb County.
