Moberly man injured after car strikes deer on Highway 63 near Renick

A collision involving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and a deer caused moderate injuries to a Missouri man on Thursday evening. The accident occurred on Highway 63, approximately half a mile south of Renick.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Brittany L. Crowley, 32, of Moberly, Missouri, was traveling north when her vehicle collided with a deer. Following the impact, the Chevrolet veered off the road and came to a stop in a ditch. Crowley, who was wearing a seat belt, did not report any injuries.

Bruce G. Ferrel, a 42-year-old man from Moberly, who was also wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash. He was an occupant in the Chevrolet. Emergency services, including the Randolph County Ambulance, responded to the scene, and Ferrel was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for further treatment.

The damaged Chevrolet was secured on the roadside following the accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and the Randolph County Ambulance District, is investigated the incident
