Next week is spring break for the Missouri Legislature.

How does Second District State Representative Mazzie Christensen of Bethany think the legislative session is going so far? She says she thinks the State House could be passing more conservative bills.

When the state legislature returns from spring break, Christensen hopes for a few things, including the State House getting the budget passed to the State Senate.

Second District State Representative Mazzie Christensen of Bethany says the Missouri House of Representatives passed a “great veterans bill” this week.

She highlights a couple of bills the State House passed last week, noting every House Republican and Democrat voted for one bill that would authorize the state auditor to audit any political subdivision or government entity.

Another bill the State House passed last week was the Building Permit Reform Act.

Christensen reports she voted in favor of the Building Permit Reform Act and the bill involving veterans.

The Missouri House of Representatives sent 36 bills to the State Senate so far this legislative session. No bills have yet been passed by both the State House and Senate.
