The Livingston County Health Center will hold an event at the Chillicothe Country Club next week to educate women on breast health.
Health Center Administrator Sherry Weldon says Liberty Hospital Women’s Imaging Department Center Director Doctor Amy Patel will discuss how to identify breast health changes at the Women’s Breast Health Event May 10th at noon. Patel will also talk about mammograms and self-exams. An Oncology Nurse Navigator from Hedrick Medical Center of Chillicothe will share information about the oncology program at Hedrick.
The event is free, except for lunch, which costs $10 and can be paid at the door.
Weldon explains this is the first time the Livingston County Health Center has held an event like this. Patel is a former Chillicothe resident, holds events on breast health in various locations, and wanted to provide information to Chillicothe residents.
