The Highway Patrol reports a Kingston woman sustained moderate injuries when the car she drove ran off the road and overturned six miles west of Kingston Thursday morning.
Emergency medical services transported 20-year-old Cierra Adkison to the Liberty Hospital.
The car traveled east on Route HH before it ran off the south side of the road. Adkison reportedly overcorrected, and the vehicle ran off the north side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned. The car came to rest on its passenger side in the ditch and was totaled.
Adkison wore a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and EMS, as well as the Cameron and Hamilton Fire departments, assisted at the scene.
