I-35 closed almost 3 hours due to tractor-trailer accident Tuesday morning

An Arkansas resident was hurt when the tractor-trailer unit he was driving overturned on Interstate 35 south of Eagleville.

59-year-old Bruce Ray of Ward, Arkansas was transported to Harrison County Community Hospital at Bethany with moderate injuries.

The Tuesday morning accident happened four miles south of Eagleville on Interstate 35.

The northbound truck went off the right side of the road, the driver over corrected, the truck returned to the road and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle.

The truck was demolished, however, Ray was wearing a seat belt.

Northbound I-35 was blocked about two hours and forty five minutes due to the accident.
