Deer causes car crash near Linneus, Laclede man injured

A Laclede man was injured after his vehicle struck a deer on Route Y, approximately four miles north of Linneus, Missouri. The accident occurred on the evening of April 20, 2024, around 8:25 p.m.

Aaron J. Wood, 28, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala southbound when the incident happened. The Chevrolet sustained total damage and was subsequently towed by Gabrielson’s Towing. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Wood sustained minor injuries in the collision and was transported by Linn County Ambulance to Pershing Memorial Hospital.

The report indicates that Wood was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Authorities from the Linn County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
