The Chillicothe Police Department provided details on their operations from April 12 to April 14, 2024, answering a total of 208 calls over the three days.

Friday, April 12, 2024

08:14 AM – Animal Control was dispatched to the 300 block of Harvest Drive to remove a groundhog from the property.

01:01 PM – Officers were called to the 1200 block of Fair Street regarding a suicidal juvenile who was subsequently transported to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation. Parents joined the officers at the hospital.

01:44 PM – A chocolate lab running loose at the intersection of JFK and Broadway Street was retrieved by Animal Control, which then located the dog’s owner to arrange its return.

06:03 PM – A vehicle missing its front passenger tire and wheel assembly was found obstructing the 300 block of East Jackson Street. Officers identified the owner and facilitated towing to clear the roadway.

07:18 PM – In the police department lobby, officers gathered information from a woman reporting a credit card scam, with the investigation ongoing.

09:17 PM – A noise complaint about a vehicle in a business parking lot on the 1000 block of South Washington Street was investigated, but the car departed before officers arrived.

09:00 AM – A report of identity theft was taken, with officers collecting information for a thorough investigation.

10:50 AM – A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 2nd and Walnut Streets led to two individuals being transported to Hedrick Medical Center. Citations were issued for failure to yield and seatbelt violations.

07:19 PM – Juveniles were reported removing items from a storage unit at the 10 block of Walnut Street. The situation was resolved following contact with their parents.

07:57 PM – Officers recorded a delayed hit-and-run report from the 700 block of Washington Street, with the investigation ongoing.

08:20 PM – A runaway juvenile report from the 400 block of 2nd Street prompted police action, including entry into the M.U.L.E.S. database and a community appeal via Facebook.

11:20 PM – Assistance was provided to a Livingston County Deputy in pursuit of a non-compliant vehicle, with the investigation ongoing.

02:18 PM – In a private property accident at the 500 block of South Washington Street, officers helped exchange insurance information. No injuries were reported.

05:45 PM – Officers mediated a verbal domestic dispute in the 1800 block of Clay Street, advising on separation under Missouri law.

07:05 PM – A physical domestic dispute on the 2100 block of Ridgecrest Drive resulted in an arrest, with the victims provided assistance and advocacy information.

08:45 PM – A well-being check on the 100 block of Liberia Street confirmed the individual was safe, advised to contact his family.

08:55 PM – A bb gun assault involving two juveniles on the 10’s block of 3rd Street is under investigation.

10:05 PM – A found runaway juvenile from the 1500 block of 3rd Street was returned to her mother.

10:59 PM – Officers addressed a verbal disturbance at a business on Hwy 36, ensuring staff could leave safely.
