Residents of Chillicothe and Stillwell, Kansas were hurt when vehicles they were driving sideswiped south of Belton.
Eighty-two-year-old Robert Matthews of Stillwell, Kansas was taken to Research Hospital with minor injuries. The other driver, 33-year old Nathaniel Novotny of Chillicothe, was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.
The accident happened Friday afternoon on Route D at East 183rd Street.
Both vehicles were demolished and the patrol reports Novotny was arrested on five misdemeanor Pleasant Hill Police Department warrants.
