A motorcycle ride and other fundraising activities generated over $1,700 for the Trenton Fire Department fire prevention and safety efforts.
Sunday’s group left from Chumbley’s in Trenton and rode to the Chula Bar and Grill. Activities also included a meal and music. The total amount raised was reported as $1,732. According to the organizer of the third annual Grandma’s Ride, Cissy Wilcoxsin, there were 53 participants on 41 motorcycles, 12 of which had passengers.
Some participants traveled quite a distance to be part of the motorcycle ride/fundraiser. These included riders from Lincoln, Nebraska, Bonner Springs, Kansas and Grain Valley in Missouri.
