Three in Monday arrest report from Grundy County Sheriff

Three arrests are in the report from the Grundy County Sheriff’sDepartment with each being arrested following unrelated investigations.

27-year-old Tyler Joe Williams of rural Princeton has been charged with stealing. Williams is accused of receiving or retaining certain physical evidence with a value of over three thousand dollars allegedly knowing it was stolen. Specifics were not mentioned in the arrest warrant. Bond was set at $5000 cash.

St. Joseph resident, 32-year-old Cody James Burchett was arrested on two misdemeanor counts Friday. He’s accused of violating circuit court issuance of an adult abuse order of protection by allegedly entering a specific residential property.

Burchett also faces a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia—identified in the warrant as a smoking pipe to allegedly ingest drugs into the body. Bond was set at $4000.

40-year-old Michael Lee Puckett of Trenton was arrested on an alleged probation violation with a bond set at $1500 cash. His original Grundy County charges, stemming from July of 2015, were trespassing in the first degree and assault in the third degree. Probation has been suspended by the court.

Williams, Burchett, and Puckett are to appear September 26th in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.
