Two sentenced to jail time after appearing in court

Among cases in the city of Trenton, Municipal Division, of Grundy County Circuit Court, two Trenton men pleaded guilty to separate charges and were sentenced to jail.

Levi Grant Bell pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and was sentenced to serve 14 days in the Grundy County Detention Center with credit given for serving seven of those days so far. Bell also pleaded guilty to violating the open container ordinance and was sentenced to six days in jail. The sentences run consecutively. Bell was arrested April 24th by Trenton Police.

Robert John Shoemaker, Trenton, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for an incident on April 13th in Trenton. Shoemaker was sentenced to serve six days at Grundy County’s Detention Center, with credit given for serving the time.
