The Trenton Police Department arrested a Trenton man Tuesday on assault charges and resisting or interfering with an arrest.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports 23-year-old Daniel Scott has been charged with the felonies of third-degree domestic assault and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony as well as misdemeanor fourth-degree assault. His bonds total $15,500 cash only, and he is scheduled for the Associate Division of circuit court Monday, May 7.

Court documents accuse Scott of causing physical injury to someone by striking the person in the head multiple times with a wooden TV tray causing him to bleed, placing another person in apprehension of immediate physical injury by threatening that person with a knife, and resisting arrest by fleeing from Trenton Police Officer Jasmine Diab.
