Tire detachment causes crash on Highway 6 west of Taylor

A collision on Highway 6, three miles west of Taylor, led to one driver being injured on Saturday afternoon. The incident, which occurred at 2:00 p.m., involved a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2013 Ford Flex.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a tire detached from the Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling westbound, and collided with the eastbound Ford Flex. Both vehicles suffered damage and were towed from the scene by Robert’s Garage.

The Ford Flex, driven by Teresa M. Bringer, 40, of Maywood, Missouri, incurred moderate damage. Ms. Bringer, who was wearing her seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by private conveyance.

Robert N. White, 66, from Ewing, Missouri, was the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado. Mr. White, who also had his seat belt fastened, escaped with no reported injuries despite the minor damage to his vehicle.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated that the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
