A teenager at North Andrew school in northwest Missouri is accused of making threats at his school as well as attacking an Andrew County deputy with a sword and an arrow.

17-year-old Eion Coats, of Bolckow, Mo., was taken into custody and charged Tuesday with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, third-degree terrorist threat and institutional vandalism.

On Tuesday night, deputies made contact with Coats at his home in Bolckow, where the teen allegedly admitted writing “Die NA Die” on a whiteboard at the school.

Deputies said Coats became agitated when asked what the message on the board meant and it was then that Coats took off running when the deputy reached for handcuffs to detain him.

Coats ran up the stairs to his bedroom, grabbing, a sword which was allegedly pointed at the deputy, which he dropped upon the deputy entering the room, however, he still refused to comply with commands from the deputy.

The deputy reportedly used a taser on Coats, to little effect. As the deputy attempted to place Coats in handcuffs, the deputy reportedly said coats grabbed an arrow and stabbed him in the leg.

Coats was taken into custody, however, the deputy also reported cuts to his hand and wrist.

Coats is currently being held in the Andrew County jail on $100,000 bond.
