The Mercer County Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire on East Hickland Street in Princeton Monday. The fire department reports firefighters found an attached carport and a covered porch on fire when they arrived. Highway patrol reports arrest of two area men

The Highway Patrol reports the arrest of two area men on felony warrants in Sullivan County Friday night. Thirty-two-year-old Nicholas Wendt of Galt was arrested for a Mercer County warrant for possession of methamphetamine. Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Owen of Princeton was arrested on a probation warrant for non-support. Both were transported to the Sullivan County Jail.
