The Spickard R-2 Board of Education discussed at a meeting Monday a grant the school district received from the Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri.
Superintendent Jonnie Beavers reports the grant for more than $400 is to purchase a clothes dryer. The school had a clothes washer to wash things like mops and students clothes if necessary, but it did not have a dryer.
Beavers believes the heat from the dryer will help kill germs.
