Harrison County Health Department Administrator Courtney Cross announces a second confirmed positive case of the Coronavirus in the county.
The individual is a male between 40 and 49 years of age and a resident of Harrison County. He is recovering at home and is under voluntary self-isolation.
The Harrison County Health Department is working to identify and respond to anyone who may need to self-quarantine due to close contact with the individual. The health department notes it is important that anyone identified as a close contact of the patient follow necessary precautions to limit the potential spread of infection.
If someone is not contacted by a county or state health official, then that person did not come into contact with the individual, and he or she is not at increased risk for the Coronavirus.
