Authorities are seeking public assistance to locate a vehicle that allegedly led officers on a high-speed pursuit. They also need help identifying the driver of the vehicle they attempted to stop.

On Saturday night, April 13, at approximately 11:18 p.m., a Livingston County sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington Street and Fairway Drive in Chillicothe. The vehicle failed to yield, leading deputies, officers, and the highway patrol on a high-speed chase. The pursuit continued southbound through Chillicothe, proceeded south on Highway 65, and then south on Route Z where officers lost sight of the vehicle. Speeds during the chase were reported to exceed 100 miles per hour. It remains unclear if the vehicle turned west on Route C or continued south on Route Z.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department reported that the vehicle is possibly a white Ford Escape, with the first three letters of the Missouri license plate being EF6. Anyone with information or tips is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 660-646-2121.
