The Missouri Day Parade in Trenton Saturday had nearly 80 entries plus 19 high school bands.

Preferred Family Healthcare won the Spirit of Missouri Day award, which had prize money of $200. Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments was the Spirit of Missouri Day runner-up, but also won the Best Business Float award. Each of those two prizes was in the amount of $100.

Winning $100 dollars for their entries were the First Assembly of God Royal Rangers in the best youth division, Liberty Baptist Church in the best religious category, and the

Student Missouri State Teachers Association chapter at North Central Missouri College in the division for best organization.

Earning $50 were Steve Gondringer for his Ratrod car which won best car or truck pre-1960, Lynn Westcott in the best equestrian category, and the Grand River Cub Club in the best tractor division for those in the category of 1947 to 1960s Farmall Cub tractors.

The Trenton Rotary Club was the overall sponsor of the Missouri Day Parade with prize money for the awards provided by ten sponsors.

Winners may obtain their prize from Diane Lowrey at the Republican-Times Newspaper office.
