Gilman City Board of Education accepts resignation, hires Special Education aide

The Gilman City R-4 Board of Education has approved a bid for summer mowing from Gregg Lawn and Landscape for $200 per mowing. It was the only submitted bid.

The board approved summer projects, including new flooring for the preschool and board room and wall repair for the English and Science rooms.

Superintendent Roger Alley reported gravel was to be put on the parking lot.

Alley administered the oath of office to board members Matt Clark and Kelly Sperry and the election of officers was held. Officers are Tony Gregg as President, Keith Preston Vice President, and Michael Ragan as Secretary.

In an executive session, the board accepted a letter of resignation from aide Patti DeWitt. Wendy Wilson was hired as a Special Education aide, Courtney Warford for middle school English, and Sarah Clark for Music for one day a week.

All classified staff were offered contracts and extra duty contracts were also offered.
