A Chillicothe woman has been placed on probation after pleading guilty to an amended charge in Daviess County Circuit Court. Stacey Soper, 53, was granted two years of probation following the suspension of her sentence. Originally charged with endangering the welfare of a child, the state amended the charge to a misdemeanor.

The incident that led to the charge occurred in Livingston County in May 2023. As part of the plea agreement, Soper is prohibited from any contact with the victim.

The announcement of the sentence was made by Circuit Judge Ryan Horsmann. The case was transferred to Daviess County last year due to a change of venue from Livingston County.
