Body of man, with northeast Missouri ties, found in Iowa creekbed

Authorities in Iowa report the body of a former northeast Missouri resident, Jason Lee Seavey, was discovered in a creek at Ottumwa, Iowa.

Seavey, who was 41 years old, was found dead Friday, March 17th.

A memorial service of celebration for Jason Seavey of Ottumwa will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Broadlawn Baptist Church in Unionville.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family or Broadlawn Baptist Church.

Arrangements are being provided by Wendy at a Simplified Funeral Solution LLC of Green Castle, Missouri.

Survivors of Jason Seavey include his wife Jennifer. Among survivors within this area are his mother: Kathy Ann Collins of Unionville; sisters at Unionville:

Amy Christian and Jennifer Pigg.

Media reports indicate after the body of Jason Seavey was discovered, Iowa authorities reported an autopsy was to be conducted by the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s office.

A police officer at Ottumwa has described the death as an on-going investigation.
