A new White House Coronavirus Task Force report says the COVID-19 risk is at a historic high.
The latest report, dated November 29, says “America is in a dangerous place” due to the current, extremely high COVID-19 baseline and limited hospital capacity. It says a further post-Thanksgiving surge will compromise COVID patient care as well as medical care overall.
The report says the depth of viral spread across the state remains significant and without public health orders in place compelling Missourians to act differently, the spread will remain “unyielding”.
It recommends Missourians 65 and older to stay away from public indoor spaces with unmasked people inside as well as have their groceries and medications delivered.
