John Sastry is the Chairman of the new Hall of Fame. As a guardsman- John Sastry wanted to nominate an officer in Missouri but learned we did not have a place for that.
Sastry says because politics can come into play—the Hall of Fame is *not* government-funded— government-run.
Sastry says they are seeking support for the new Hall of Fame—and nominations.
Sastry praises the National Guard Museum in Jefferson City – which has exhibits and historical items. He says the Hall of fame is another site entirely, in the city of Kirksville.
Sastry says they were welcomed by many cities across Missouri, but – only Kirksville said yes with no bureaucratic or legislative process.
