Audrey Martin will receive the Sydenstricker John Deere of Missouri/Sydenstricker Angus Genetics supreme scholarship during the annual State FFA Convention in Columbia April 20th.
Thirty-five other state 4-H and FFA members who are seeking higher education at a Missouri college or university will also receive recognition at the convention.
Youth chosen to receive $1,500 scholarships, sponsored by Youth in Agriculture supporters, include Conner Bankus of Milan, Liberty Cox of Chillicothe, Shelby LeAnn Davies of Dawn, and Jeremy Wyatt Ellis of Bethany.
The Missouri State Fair Foundation Youth in Agriculture committee evaluated the scholarship applicants in multiple areas, including Missouri State Fair participation, grade point average, community involvement, and leadership roles.
The scholarships are funded through Youth in Agriculture sponsors, buyers of livestock sold during the annual Sale of Champions, and through fundraising efforts.
