Chillicothe man arrested after execution of search warrant

An investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old Chillicothe man on drug charges.

The police department reports a Livingston County search warrant was executed in the 200 block of East Bridge Street in Chillicothe after a report of endangering the welfare of a child.

The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and possession of fewer than 35 grams of marijuana as well as endangering the welfare of a child.

Online court information shows 35-year-old Gary Lee Mautino of 224 Gale Street has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and with the alleged use of drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, first degree.

At Tuesday’s arraignment, the court set bond at $100,00 cash. Mautino is scheduled to return to court on September 20th when a preliminary hearing could be set or waived. He was being held for Livingston County, at the Daviess- Dekalb county regional jail.

The police report an investigation is ongoing, and there may be more individuals involved.
