Trenton Fire Chief Brandon Gibler has issued a burn ban for the City of Trenton effective immediately.
The ban will be in effect until further notice as dry conditions continue to persist. The wind will also be a factor as forecasters at the National Weather Service in Kansas City are predicting gusts between 20 and 30 mph over the next few days.
The ban was issued due to the National Weather Service’s forecast of a very high fire danger in the area.
