Stained glass classes among events in March at Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery

The Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe has several events planned for this month.

Ladies of Glass: Glass Fusing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 o’clock with Vilma Holt to instruct the class on how to make poppy bowls.

Holt will also teach the Beginning and Intermediate Stained Glass class, which begins the evening of March 16 at 6 o’clock and will run for four weeks as well as the Beginning Fused Glass class the evening of March 27 from 6 to 8 o’clock.

A “Mommy and Me” painting party will be held the evening of March 21 from 6 to 8 o’clock with Margaret Vance and Frances Crouch instructing the class, which will let mothers paint with their children.

Marj Locker will teach Introduction to Pallet Knife Painting the evening of March 24 from 6 to 8 o’clock. Individuals will create a cabin landscape while learning the basics of pallet knife painting.

An opening reception for the Area All Media Art Exhibit will be the evening of Friday, March 10 from 5 to 8 o’clock. The exhibit will be open Tuesday through March 31.

Most Cultural Corner classes cost $25 for members and $35 for non-members, with the exception of the Beginning and Intermediate Stained Glass class and the Mommy and Me Painting Party.

The stained glass class costs $45 for members and $55 for non-members. There is also a $25 materials cost for beginners.  The painting party costs $30 per pair with additional children or parents costing $15 each.
